"Love his work. I was married to a professional artist with a gallery in Carmel, my kids are artists, I know real art. It is special to actually wear art. My son loves his gear and basically lives in it. It feels good to support art and artists! Also great customer service!"
"Visited Derek at the store on Clement and was happy to see such a large selection of different designs to purchase for family and friends for Christmas. I really wanted this awesome butterfly sweatshirt and he did not have the size I was looking for, so he told me he would get one but it may be after Christmas. I was ok with that just because I knew my friend would love that particular design but to my delight he had it ready for me before Christmas!! I was so happy with the customer service I received! I love supporting local artists and Derek is just so nice and easy to work with. He has so many cool designs to choose from and all of the people who received Engrafft gifts from me were stoked!!! Thanks for saving Christmas, Derek!!!!!"
"Always fun to see the latest designs Derric has created. A great place to grab a gift for that hard-to-shop-for nephew or cousin (or myself). And I appreciate the high quality cotton material of the shirts and clothes...stays soft and holds up after msny uses & washing."
"Kicking myself for taking this long to write a review. I had the pleasure of meeting Derek in-store during my visit to SanFran back in May. He was so friendly, welcoming, and eager to talk me through his inspiration and process for his work. He loves to pay homage to his roots with little easter eggs in his designs, and that same attention to detail shows in the quality of the garments as well. I'm so glad I got the chance to to meet Derek and have a short chat. He deserves all the support!!!!!!!"
"I purchased a T‑shirt for my son during Christmas from your Engrafft booth at the Irving St. holiday market. It was a slow, cold night, and we made a point to support the vendors who were out there. We liked one of your shirts and bought it with cash directly from you. My son loved the shirt, but we noticed the stitching at the bottom was already coming undone. My wife contacted you, and we arranged an exchange. After several emails coordinating a time to get up to San Francisco, you suddenly insisted on a receipt. Since the purchase was made in cash and directly from you, we didn’t think that would be an issue—especially because you remembered the sale. When I came to your shop, you completed the exchange as agreed, but again pressed me for a receipt I simply don’t have. Then you followed up by emailing my wife asking for it once more. At this point, I genuinely don’t understand why we’re being put through so much hassle over a straightforward exchange for a defective item. You can easily repair the original shirt and resell it, so I’m not sure why this continues to be a point of contention. If I had a receipt, I would gladly provide it. There’s nothing to hide. But I bought the shirt directly from you, which you acknowledged multiple times. This experience has been frustrating enough that I won’t be purchasing from you again. I’m not writing this to discourage others, but they should be aware that even a simple exchange may turn into an unnecessary ordeal."
