Oaklandish Downtown - Eco Fashion category in Oakland

"I ordered a sweatshirt from Oaklandish online and loved the quality, but it fit too big. Since I live about 45 minutes away, I decided to visit the store in person instead of shipping it back. (All of this took place on: 2/28/24) The store itself was really cool, but the customer service was disappointing. When my sister and I arrived, no one greeted us…one employee was blocking the entrance, and another had to walk to the guy to let him know that there were customers waiting while she was at the front desk on her laptop. When I asked about exchanging my sweatshirt, the associate’s tone came off rude, and the overall vibe felt unwelcoming and judgmental. They told me the item was sold out and that returns or exchanges weren’t possible (the window to return and exchange my items was still open). I left really disappointed because I loved the quality of this sweater and what it stands for, but the in-store experience didn’t reflect that at all. Customer service was so bad I don’t think I’m ever purchasing from this company, it just left a bad impression on me. My sister and I both felt the vibes were off. Never again."

"great store. caution: their designs come and go. I've thought I'd wait to buy a shirt then find out a design is forever gone. in other words buy it while it lasts? they support local artists and have more than clothes at their store. I have seen some of their shirts at the Oakland A's store inside the Coliseum. employees are great. great vibes. I have gifted shirts here and sent them overseas. (saying that youre from Oakland-ish instead of San Leandro, Alameda, etc. makes sense. I usually say SF Bay; SF East Bay to be exact)"
