"Their fruits have extremely delicious sweetness to them. They feel real and fresh. The reason I gave four stars was because it is not consistent. One time the mango was like out of the world. I went next week to get the same mangoes and they were just not even sweet and kind of sour. The very first time I got the apples they were just delicious. The second time when I got them it was just like a regular apple that you get in the stores, so I lost interest going there. If it is not consistent, and I’m taking a chance, then I don’t like to put on that extra effort going into the store. I can just have the delivery from Amazon."
"My go to place for certain items. The thinks I usually pick up on a regular basis are fruit, Appkewood bacon from the but her, fresh olives and deli sandwi he's. They also have good desserts."
"Well stocked grocery store with excellent fruit and vegetable selections. They really pack this store with a lot of stuff"
"I usually stop pretty often to grab little things I need for dinner, I bought four pounds of ground beef 80% and had them divide it into two pound bags. The butcher said make sure you put the one you don’t cook tonight into the freezer, which was a bit odd but I didn’t think anything of it. Well I got home as I was cooking the smell seemed a bit off but I thought it was the dish I was making. After eating it my daughter and I both knew it wasn't good and I threw it out. The following week I took out the second bag and there was the same smell. I’m so disappointed. I’m hoping this was some sort of a one time thing because it’s hard to find good meat that’s fresh and now they are off my list for places to buy meat."
"Not quite a boutique market, but this smaller outpost to the main market carries items you won’t find at Safeway, but don’t want to go to Berkeley Bowl or Whole Foods to buy. A good stop for authentic Asian brands and vegan-friendly food substitutes."
