"Probably my favorite food-related shopping location in Oakland. A little pricier but the quality is definitely worth it, be it for the sea food, the regular groceries, the bakery, etc... There's even a Highwire Coffee which is always reliable for good coffee!"

"Pricey but so unique and exciting with lots of different and unique items. An entire section dedicated to my favorite savory meats (including salamis) and cheeses. All top quality. They even have truffle oils, truffles, etc..."

"Amazing selection of cheese, fresh bread, condiments, artisan pasta, and tons of other prepared foods. And ingredients. The cheese shop staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better assortment of domestic and international cheese.warning, it gets very crowded at times, and you can drop a ton of money in a very short visit!"

"Bought some delicious looking fruit today, I put my purchases in produce bags. Rosa rung up my purchase, she took each item out of the bag & handled each item with her dirty black gloves after handling cash at her register. I told her I wanted to keep them clean & was planning to eat them, she scuffed & continued handling the apples. Why not take precautions & the bags are clear enough to see thru. Not sure I trust the produce now🥲"

"Excellent produce, lots of organic choices and hard-to-find specialty items. There are some folks who work there who know an incredible amount about the produce they sell and are happy to talk with you about choices. It is not cheap, but you get really top quality. There is a parking lot next door (free) and it's 1/2 block from the Rockridge BART station."
