"I paid extra for the raised bed mix. The soil is hydrophobic! I water and water but it doesn't wet even an inch deep. I can swipe my hand across and the soil is bone dry. I'm having to work the soil with a shovel while watering to have any effect. The soil I have worked has compacted like a brick. So it killed my garden this year and I got less volume than I paid for. Would have been cheaper to get bagged. I'm going to have to amend this soo much. I'm heartbreaken. I have MS and was looking forward to being able to garden again with raised beds but I just cry when I see my garden now."

"Good composted topsoil, but whether or not the it is open to business is absolutely unreliable. Yesterday, I bought composted topsoil and asked how long they would be open. She said 5:30 PM. I come back at 2:00 PM for more topsoil, and the store was closed. I called and they said they would be open today, but it is not. This has happened to me several times this summer. Do not plan a project expecting to get product from Bluebird Composting in a timely fashion. The store is unreliable."
